We are seeking a detail‐oriented and highly organized Sr. Payroll Administrator to assist with managing end‐to‐end payroll processing for employees across the United States and Canada. The ideal candidate has hands‐on experience with ADP and Workday, a strong understanding of multi‐state and provincial payroll regulations, and a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing:
Process bi‐weekly or semi‐monthly payroll for U.S. and Canadian employees using ADP and Workday.
Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and special payments.
Validate timekeeping data and resolve discrepancies with managers or employees.
Maintain payroll schedules, deadlines, and compliance requirements.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure payroll practices comply with federal, state, provincial, and local laws in both the U.S. and Canada.
Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, including year‐end documents such as W‐2s, T4s, and ROEs.
Support audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
Stay current on regulatory changes affecting payroll operations.
Systems & Data Management:
Maintain employee records in Workday and ADP, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Assist with system updates, testing, and troubleshooting payroll‐related issues.
Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure data integrity across systems.
Employee Support:
Respond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, taxes, and payroll policies.
Provide guidance on payroll processes and escalate complex issues when needed.
Qualifications:
5–10+ years of payroll experience, including U.S. and Canadian payroll processing.
Proficiency with ADP (Workforce Now or similar) and Workday payroll modules.
Strong knowledge of U.S. federal/state and Canadian federal/provincial payroll laws.
Experience with multi‐state and multi‐province payroll.
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Excellent communication and customer‐service skills.
CPP or FPC certification is a plus (U.S. or Canadian).
