WMS Business Analyst – WMS (MAWM Transition) & Supply Chain

Location: USA Remote

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Supply Chain Business Analyst (BA) to play a vital role in our upcoming distribution modernization initiative. In this role, you will be the core analytical driver supporting our system transition over to Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (MAWM).
As the WMS Business Analyst, you will act as the bridge between distribution center operations and our IT implementation teams. Your primary focus will be mapping "as-is" warehouse workflows, defining "to-be" processes within MAWM, gathering comprehensive technical requirements, and ensuring the new system configuration perfectly aligns with our operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Mapping & Gap Analysis: Document existing operational workflows across inbound, inventory control, and outbound processes. Conduct detailed gap analyses to translate these workflows into MAWM capabilities.
  • Requirements Gathering: Lead workshops with warehouse supervisors, operators, and IT partners to elicit, analyze, and document clear, detailed business and functional requirements.
  • MAWM Configuration Support: Collaborate closely with systems integrators and Manhattan Associates consultants to ensure the MAWM platform configuration matches approved business specifications.
  • Testing & Validation: Author comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts, coordinate testing execution with DC staff, and triage/validate system defects during the testing cycles.
  • Change Management & Training: Assist in creating SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and training documentation to help floor staff and leadership smoothly transition to the new MAWM platform.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • WMS Experience: Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementations, upgrades, or migrations.
  • Manhattan Platform Knowledge: Past experience working with Manhattan Associates software is highly preferred, with specific exposure to Manhattan Active® WMS (MAWM) or traditional WMOS being a significant plus.
  • Warehousing Fluency: Deep understanding of core distribution center operations, including receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counting, and slotting.
  • Data & Integration Skills: Strong capability in data mapping (such as inventory balances and item masters) and a solid understanding of how a WMS integrates with host ERPs and host systems.

Key Competencies

  • Analytical Dissection: Ability to take complex, fast-moving physical warehouse processes and break them down into highly structured, logical technical requirements.
  • Collaborative Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to speak the language of a forklift operator on the warehouse floor just as effectively as an IT developer.
  • Detail Orientation: Exceptional thoroughness when documenting edge cases, exception workflows, and testing scenarios to ensure a seamless, zero-defect go-live.
