Job Title: Network Engineer / Network SME

Location: Miami, Florida (Onsite)

 

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise network environments, Cisco routing & switching, and SD-WAN technologies. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting skills, the ability to manage complex incidents, and experience working in multi-vendor environments while ensuring high network availability and performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L2/L3 support for enterprise network environments, including troubleshooting complex network issues
  • Design, deploy, and support SD-WAN solutions across enterprise environments
  • Manage and troubleshoot Cisco routing & switching infrastructure (Catalyst, Meraki)
  • Handle incident, problem, and change management using ServiceNow
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures
  • Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive optimization initiatives
  • Support multi-vendor network environments and coordinate with OEMs when required
  • Lead or support network upgrade, migration, and optimization projects
  • Maintain network documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and mentor junior engineers
  • Work closely with NOC/operations teams for 24/7 network support and escalations

 

Core Technical Skills

  • Routing Protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
  • Switching: VLANs, STP, EtherChannel
  • Hardware/Platforms: Cisco Catalyst Switches, Cisco Meraki
  • Networking Fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
  • SD-WAN: Design, deployment, and troubleshooting
  • VPN Technologies
  • Network Monitoring & Performance Analysis (Latency, throughput, etc.)
  • Tools: ServiceNow (Incident, Problem & Change Management)
  • Experience with multi-vendor environments

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in large enterprise or carrier-grade environments
  • Exposure to NOC operations and incident management processes
  • Strong understanding of network reliability, scalability, and performance optimization
  • Cisco certifications (CCNP – preferred but not mandatory)
  • Strong documentation, communication, and leadership skills

  • Ownership mindset with focus on service stability and improvement
