Position: Senior Oracle Golden Gate DBA
Location: Dallas, TX (onsite Day 1)
Duration: 6 Months
Rate: $ Open/Hour
Note: Need only Local Resource who can attend Face to Face Interview
Essential Skills and Competencies:
Minimum 12+ Years relevant experience in Oracle Database Administration
Hands-on experience with Oracle 19c installation and administration
Strong experience with Oracle Golden Gate (Classic and Microservices architectures)
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Golden Gate installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production environments
Experience with Oracle database environments including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Exadata, and OEM to ensure high availability and consistency of replicated data
Strong experience with Oracle Data Pump (Export/Import) utilities
Proficiency in database performance tuning (AWR, ADDM) and exposure to OEM monitoring
Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and documentation skills
Willing to work in 24x7 environment with rotational shifts
Knowledge of shell scripting and automation frameworks
Candidate should be able to quickly understand and resolve issues, mitigate risks and dependencies and the ability to drive assignments to completion
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and administer Oracle Golden Gate (Classic and Microservices architecture) for real-time data replication
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Golden Gate processes to resolve issues such as replication lag, data conflicts, and process failures
Instantiate new tables and backfill table modifications in a replicated environment
Develop and maintain shell scripts for reporting, automation, and Golden Gate monitoring
Contribute to performance optimization, troubleshooting, and capacity planning of high-volume replication systems
Utilize AWR, ADDM, and other performance tools to analyze and improve database and replication performance
Implement performance tuning to enhance throughput and replication efficiency
Implement, configure, and maintain Data Guard and RAC environments, handling day-to-day administration and troubleshooting.
Coordinate with application teams on new data replication requirements and modifications to existing data replication processes
Attend DBA team meetings and follow client's standard DBA practices
Secondary skills:
Prior experience of working in a DevOps / Agile environment
Working knowledge of JIRA is a plus
Experience working in heterogeneous database replication environments is a plus
Cloud experience is a plus
