Job Description
We are seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle 19c, Oracle 23ai, Exadata, and automation, and a proven ability to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing database operations.
Responsibilities:
- Administer Oracle databases, including installation, configuration, and lifecycle management for Oracle 19c and Oracle 23ai.
- Support and manage Oracle Exadata environments with a focus on availability and performance.
- Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery using RMAN, Data Guard, and Oracle Recovery Appliance.
- Execute patching and upgrades leveraging Fleet Patching and Provisioning (FPP) and standard change procedures.
- Perform performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning to meet service levels.
- Develop and maintain automation and scripts for operational efficiency using Shell and Python.
- Provide operational support, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Hands-on Oracle Database Administration with Oracle 19c and Oracle 23ai.
- Experience supporting and managing Oracle Exadata environments.
- Proficiency in Shell scripting and Python for automation.
- Strong knowledge of Data Guard, RMAN, Oracle Recovery Appliance, and Fleet Patching and Provisioning (FPP).
- Experience with database backup, recovery, patching, performance tuning, and operational support.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exposure to AI technologies and Large Language Models (LLMs) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with performance diagnostics on Exadata and AWR/ASH analysis.
- Experience with automation frameworks and CI/CD for database changes.
