  • Maintain accurate inventories of spare parts, tooling, and consumables; proactively manage reorders to ensure equipment uptime.
  • Interface directly with automated test equipment vendors to schedule service, request technical support, order replacement parts, and obtain quotations.
  • Partner with Mechanical Engineers to support the design, validation, and deployment of test fixtures that meet lab, NPI, and production requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve preventative maintenance procedures, SOPs, and training documentation to ensure consistent equipment operation and knowledge transfer.
  • Provide mentorship and hands-on training to technicians and engineers at varying experience levels.
  • Support preventative maintenance activities during off-hours or weekends as required to meet production schedules.
  • Set up, operate, and test integrated circuit (IC) devices using automated handlers as well as manual (hand) test methods.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting semiconductor automated test equipment in a production or NPI environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency with laboratory and bench equipment, including oscilloscopes and power supplies.
  • Proven experience creating and maintaining technical documentation such as PM procedures, SOPs, and One Point Lessons.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take ownership of equipment reliability.

Core Skills and Capabilities

  • Ability to solder, including complex or fine-pitch soldering, or demonstrated ability to quickly master advanced soldering techniques.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical issues and corrective actions to both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Patience and effectiveness in training and mentoring technicians and junior engineers.
  • Flexibility to support maintenance activities outside of standard business hours when required.
