Fabric & AI Consultant

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Altamonte Springs, FL that is looking for a hands-on, AI-focused consultant to help design and deliver Generative AI solutions within Microsoft Fabric. This role is centered on building and operationalizing AI capabilities, not just strategy or reporting. You'll work closely with a small group of stakeholders to translate real business needs into practical AI-driven data solutions, leveraging Fabric's data engines and SQL.

Duties:
* Implement AI and GenAI capabilities within Microsoft Fabric, including data agents and intelligent data workflows
* Design and develop solutions using Fabric data engines (Lakehouse, Warehouse, pipelines, SQL endpoints)
* Build and support AI-driven data use cases that deliver actionable insights
* Translate business requirements into functional and technical AI use cases
* Work deeply with SQL to support AI-enabled data scenarios
* Explain architecture decisions, AI concepts, and Fabric components to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Collaborate closely with stakeholders to rapidly deliver working AI functionality
* Help establish best practices for AI adoption within Microsoft Fabric
* Participate in dashboarding or visualization discussions as needed (not a primary responsibility)

REQUIREMENTS:
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, specifically implementing AI capabilities within the platform
* Strong SQL skills, particularly in support of AI-driven and advanced data scenarios
* Proven experience delivering AI-driven data solutions in real-world, production-oriented environments
* Ability to operate as a techno-functional consultant, translating business needs into technical solutions
* Comfortable explaining AI, data architecture, and Fabric concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Ability to work independently and move quickly in a fast-paced consulting or project environment
* Strong collaboration skills, including experience working closely with a small stakeholder group

Strong working knowledge of AI in Fabric, including:
Generative AI concepts and applied use cases
Data agents
GenAI-enabled data workflows

Experience working with Fabric data engines, such as:
* Lakehouse
* Warehouse
* Pipelines
* SQL endpoints

Nice to Have:
* Experience implementing intelligent or insight-driven use cases (e.g., operational intelligence, predictive insights)
* Prior work defining or guiding AI adoption best practices within a modern data platform
* Familiarity with AI architecture tradeoffs and design decision-making in Fabric
* Some exposure to dashboarding or Power BI discussions (development not required)
* Background in client-facing or advisory roles, beyond pure engineering
* Experience working on short-term, delivery-focused engagements with tight timelines

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
