Senior Salesforce Business Analyst (Contract 6 Months)

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Business Analyst to support the optimization of an existing Salesforce environment. This role will focus on refining and enhancing a large backlog of user stories to improve development efficiency and overall delivery quality. This is an initial 6-month contract with strong potential for extension as new initiatives are approved.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, refine, and rewrite a backlog of 200 300 existing user stories to ensure clarity, completeness, and developer readiness
• Partner closely with developers and stakeholders to improve requirements quality and sprint efficiency
• Translate business needs into well-structured user stories with clear acceptance criteria
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for process improvement within existing Salesforce workflows
• Support ongoing optimization of current Salesforce implementations rather than new builds
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Ensure alignment between business objectives and Salesforce capabilities
• Help reduce technical debt through improved documentation and requirement clarity

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst
• Strong expertise in Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud
• Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments (2-week sprints preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to refine and manage large backlogs of user stories
• Excellent skills in writing clear, concise, and actionable user stories and acceptance criteria
• Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working in largely standard (low customization) Salesforce environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with ERP integrations (A+ or similar systems)
• Familiarity with Salesforce optimization initiatives and process improvement
• Exposure to AI capabilities within Salesforce (future roadmap initiatives)
• Ability to identify and address technical debt through business analysis practices

Team & Environment

• Agile/Scrum delivery model with 2-week sprints
• Small, collaborative team consisting of ~1 2 developers and a manager
• Well-documented business processes with opportunity for refinement and improvement
• Focus on enhancing efficiency and delivery quality rather than major system redesign

Contract Details

• Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)
• Focus: Optimization of existing Salesforce implementation
• Start: Immediate / As soon as available
