Position Summary:

Title: Consultant Premium II

Duration: 6 Months Long Term

Location: Washington, DC 20433

Hybrid Onsite: 4 days per week from Day 1, with a full transition to 100% onsite anticipated soon.

Key Responsibilities

  • ART Facilitation & Cadence: Facilitate all ART-level SAFe events, including PI Planning, ART Sync (Scrum of Scrums and PO Sync), System Demos, and the Inspect & Adapt workshop, ensuring they run on cadence and produce committed, transparent outcomes.
  • Flow & Program Execution: Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART using the Program/ART Kanban and relevant tooling; track program increment objectives, features, and milestones; and maintain visibility of progress against commitments.
  • Risk, Dependency & Impediment Management: Identify, track, and drive resolution of cross-team dependencies, program risks (e.g., ROAM), and impediments; escalate beyond the train where needed and follow through to closure.
  • LACE Coordination & Two-Way Communication: Serve as the unit s primary liaison to the LACE. Ensure that LACE standards, cadence changes, tooling, and guidance are accurately cascaded into the unit, and that unit-level updates on SAFe activities, such as PI progress, metrics, risks, decisions, and improvement actions, are communicated back to the LACE completely and on time. Establish and maintain a reliable reporting rhythm so neither side works from stale information.
  • Program Management Support: Support the unit s program management responsibilities by consolidating ART status into management-ready reporting, aligning delivery with budget and resourcing constraints, and surfacing cross-program interdependencies for leadership decision-making.
  • Coaching & Continuous Improvement: Coach teams, Scrum Masters/Team Coaches, Product Owners, and stakeholders in Lean-Agile and SAFe practices; foster a culture of relentless improvement; and drive measurable progress on the actions emerging from Inspect & Adapt.
  • Project Management Standardization & Best Practices: Standardize project management practices across the unit; create reusable project plan templates and supporting project management artifacts.
