Summary

Job Title: Project Manager
Location: New York City, NY
Position Overview:
Our NYC-based Asset Management client is looking for a Project Manager to support initiatives within their Credit Funds business.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Asset Management, with hands-on experience working with Private Credit and/or Private Equity (PE) funds. The candidate should have a solid understanding of fund accounting and NAV calculations, including how NAV is calculated and managed for private market funds.
Candidates with extensive Capital Markets experience, particularly those who have managed enterprise-wide initiatives, are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, fund accounting teams, technology teams, and other partners to gather and document business requirements.
  • Support projects and initiatives related to Private Credit and PE funds.
  • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for technology teams.
  • Manage project activities, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of projects.
  • Participate in testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), issue resolution, and implementation activities.
  • Prepare business documentation, process flows, requirements, and project status updates.
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong experience as a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager within Asset Management.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Credit Funds, Private Credit, Private Equity, or other Private Markets.
  • Strong understanding of NAV calculations for Private Credit and/or PE funds.
  • Knowledge of fund accounting, investment valuations, capital activity, cash flows, and portfolio-level data.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into functional specifications.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business and technology stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced financial services environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with fund accounting platforms, investment accounting systems, or portfolio management systems.
  • Understanding of alternative investments and private markets.
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and process automation.
  • Experience managing projects from requirements gathering through implementation and UAT.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
