JDWe are looking for a skilled Mainframe Developer to join our technology team and support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of mainframe-based applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and other mainframe technologies, and will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of legacy systems that are critical to our business operations. As a Mainframe Developer, you will work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, and support. Your role will also include troubleshooting and resolving issues in existing applications, as well as participating in modernization initiatives to integrate mainframe systems with newer technologies. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities. Experience in financial services, insurance, or other industries that rely heavily on mainframe systems is a plus. Key technologies include COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, and tools such as Endevor, TSO/ISPF, and Abend-AID. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is also beneficial.
