Location: Cleveland, Ohio (Remote)
Role Overview
This is a focused technical role supporting a large-scale application migration from a legacy system to a modern platform. The position involves the development and deployment of enhancements and new applications within the Manufacturing Execution and Quality control space. The incumbent will be responsible for interpreting existing code and converting it into new solutions, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret existing PowerBuilder code and convert the logic into PL/SQL-based solutions within Apex.
- Develop, code, integrate, test, and debug software applications.
- Support the end-to-end migration process, including coding, debugging, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with UX/UI resources to support front-end framework development.
- Create documentation and procedures for the installation and maintenance of software.
- Analyze system requirements and translate them into software programming specifications.
- Participate in a support rotation to ensure application availability.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. In lieu of a degree, at least seven years of experience in application development or application engineering will be considered.
Experience: 4-6+ years of experience in software development, specifically in application development engineering, is required. Experience with legacy system modernization or application migration is also required.
Technical Skills:- Deep expertise in PL/SQL, Oracle, and Apex development.
- Familiarity with software development tools such as Git or Jenkins.
- Proficiency with Database Management Systems and Front-End Development Tools.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and CI/CD methodologies.
- Experience with Systems Integration, Web Services, and APIs.
- Understanding of software testing, quality assurance, and automated testing tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing applications specific to the manufacturing sector.
- Familiarity with manufacturing and warehousing systems.
