Laboratory Technician

• Responsible for supporting greenhouse trials and laboratory assays including setup, implementation, monitoring, and assessment activities.
• Works with plant and microbial materials while ensuring compliance with laboratory protocols and safety standards.
• Supports data collection, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance activities in a research and development environment.

Requirement/Must Have:

• Bachelor s degree, Associate degree, or equivalent education in Plant Biology, Soil Science, Microbiology, Biological Sciences, or related field.
• Experience conducting laboratory bioassays in an R&D environment.
• Experience conducting greenhouse trials related to plant growth and development.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with scientific record keeping and common software applications.
• Ability to work in a dynamic laboratory environment.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move objects weighing 25 50 lbs.

Experience:

• Experience conducting greenhouse and laboratory experiments.
• Experience handling laboratory protocols and safety procedures.
• Experience with data collection and quality assurance activities.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct greenhouse trials and laboratory assays including setup, implementation, and assessment.
• Treat plants using laboratory and greenhouse equipment including track sprayers.
• Follow established laboratory protocols and safety procedures.
• Schedule the use and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Maintain compliance with handling and disposal requirements for plant and microbial materials.
• Collect, manage, and validate laboratory and greenhouse data.
• Support quality assurance and documentation activities.
• Maintain accurate scientific records and reporting.

Should Have:

• 2+ years of experience in a laboratory or greenhouse environment preferred.
• Experience conducting experiments involving agricultural biologicals preferred.
• Experience using track spraying equipment for foliar treatments preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and scientific data collection preferred.
