Role Overview
  • Position: Engineering Technician
  • Duration: 1+ Years Contract
  • Location: Horicon, WI / Onsite
  • Shift: 8am-5pm CST


Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop vehicle electrical systems for outdoor power equipment and compact utility vehicles. This role involves collaborating with supply chain, quality, validation and verification, program management, and other cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle to design, develop, and release robust electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and develop electrical system requirements (hardware and/or software) in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Design, develop, and release vehicle electrical systems, including wiring harnesses and related components.
  • Create, manage, and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) for electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on component feasibility, development, testing, and integration.
  • Provide engineering and build support throughout various stages of the product development cycle.
  • Support manufacturing and production activities as needed during vehicle builds and launches.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in vehicle electrical system design, integration, development, or testing.
  • Experience developing, designing, or testing electrical components, wiring harnesses, and electrical schematics.
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software interaction within embedded vehicle systems.
  • Proven ability to own project deliverables and manage tasks independently.
  • Knowledge of product development processes and engineering best practices.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible or off-shift hours as needed to support product builds and production activities.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in agricultural equipment, construction equipment, powersports, automotive, or other off-highway vehicle industries.
  • Experience creating and maintaining bills of materials for vehicle systems or test equipment.
  • Experience with embedded systems development, software validation, or test scripting for product verification environments such as SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) or HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop).
  • Experience developing wiring harnesses and electrical systems using 3D CAD tools.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience mentoring, training, or leading engineering team members.
  • Experience coordinating design or testing activities across geographically distributed teams.
  • Additional training or expertise in related engineering disciplines.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles and methodologies.
