Role Overview
We are seeking a Lead DevOps/Platform Engineer to drive the design, automation, and reliability of a modern data and analytics platform. This role will focus on building and managing scalable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure. The position involves working at the intersection of platform engineering and data operations, enabling seamless deployment, monitoring, and governance of data and analytics solutions. This is a hands-on technical leadership role without people management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure and platform services across AWS, Datameer, and Tableau.
- Administer the AWS platform, supporting all services used for ETL and data pipelines.

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data and analytics applications to ensure reliable, automated deployments.
- Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Provide platform tooling support for applications including Datameer and Tableau, including license renewals and performance diagnostics.
- Ensure platform reliability through monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident response practices.
- Optimize performance, scalability, and cost across cloud environments, including monitoring AWS spend and recommending optimizations.
- Implement security best practices, including identity management, data protection, and compliance controls.
- Automate operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to enable efficient data workflows and platform usage.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of DevOps or platform engineering experience is required.
Technical Skills:- Strong experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, and VPC.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience managing and supporting analytics platforms such as Airflow, Datameer, and Tableau.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as PySpark, Python, or Bash.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data platform ecosystems and integration with data warehouses like Snowflake or Redshift.
- Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
- Experience implementing DevOps practices for BI and analytics tools, especially Tableau.
- Knowledge of Datameer platform administration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with secrets management tools (e.g., AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault).
- Experience implementing security and compliance frameworks in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with cost optimization strategies for cloud infrastructure.
- Experience working in retail, e-commerce, or consumer-facing environments.
- Exposure to AI/ML platform deployment and MLOps practices.
