Description:
About the Role

This role involves designing, developing, integrating, and testing embedded software for real-time vehicle systems. The engineer will contribute to all phases of the software lifecycle including requirements, design, coding, reviews, and testing. The position requires working in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and integrate embedded software for real-time vehicle system applications
Implement new C-based software and rework existing code
Develop, analyze, integrate, and test embedded components for operational flight programs
Participate in requirements analysis, design reviews, code reviews, and system validation
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues
Prepare technical documentation and instructions supporting software development
Analyze system capabilities and clarify questions related to software intent, outputs, inputs, and controls
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
7+ years of hands-on experience in C programming (new development and rework)
3+ years of recent Python development experience

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Experience with operational flight software
Background in defense or aerospace embedded systems
Familiarity with real-time OS development environments
