We are seeking a Mid-Level QA Engineer to support clinical reporting and application initiatives within a Utilization Management (UM) environment. This role is responsible for building and executing test scripts for both data and application testing to ensure high-quality, accurate, and reliable reporting solutions.
The ideal candidate has experience validating clinical data, understands reporting logic and KPI calculations, and is comfortable working cross-functionally with business, analytics, and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test scripts for data and application testing
- Validate clinical reporting outputs, including KPI calculations and metric accuracy
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and regression testing across dashboards and reporting platforms
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
- Ensure reporting accuracy and consistency across environments
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and production release validation
- Contribute to QA documentation, test plans, and quality standards
Required Qualifications:
- 3 6 years of QA experience in data and/or application testing
- Experience supporting clinical reporting, specifically within Utilization Management (UM)
- Strong understanding of data validation, KPI testing, and report reconciliation
- Experience writing detailed test cases and test scripts
- Ability to analyze complex datasets and identify discrepancies
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work Pacific Time hours and support California-based stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a payer or health plan environment
- Familiarity with medical claims data and Prior Authorization workflows
- Experience testing BI/reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory or quality reporting requirements
Salary/Rate: $40-$60/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
