We are seeking a Senior-Level & Mid-Level Dashboard Developer with strong Power BI expertise to support clinical and Utilization Management (UM) reporting initiatives. This role will focus on building prioritized dashboards, defining KPI logic, optimizing performance, and supporting ongoing reporting platform enhancements.
The ideal candidate brings experience working with clinical data particularly within Utilization Management and thrives in a fast-paced environment where reporting accuracy, usability, and performance matter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build prioritized Power BI dashboards aligned to clinical and operational KPIs
- Translate business and clinical requirements into clear KPI logic and data visualizations
- Develop intuitive, user-friendly dashboard UX for clinical and operational stakeholders
- Perform performance tuning and data model optimization to ensure scalability and reliability
- Publish, manage, and govern Power BI reports and datasets
- Support reporting re-platforming initiatives and migration efforts
- Partner with business, analytics, and engineering teams to ensure data accuracy and reporting integrity
- Troubleshoot report issues and provide ongoing production support
Required Qualifications:
- 3 6 years of experience developing dashboards in Power BI
- Strong understanding of KPI development and performance metric logic
- Experience with clinical reporting, specifically within Utilization Management (UM)
- Proficiency in DAX, data modeling, and report performance tuning
- Experience publishing and governing Power BI content in enterprise environments
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to work Pacific Time hours and support California-based stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with healthcare payer or health plan data
- Familiarity with medical claims data and Prior Authorization workflows
- Experience supporting BI platform migrations or re-platforming initiatives
- Knowledge of healthcare regulation or quality reporting frameworks
Salary/Rate: $40-$60/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
