We are looking for Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer for our client in Charlotte NC.

Job Title: Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer

Job Location: Charlotte NC

Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 5+ years of cloud engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of Google Cloud Platform experience.
  • 3+ years of Python development experience.
  • 3+ years of Data Engineering experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
  • Automate cloud provisioning, deployment, and monitoring processes.
  • Implement security governance, networking, and IAM best practices.
  • Support DR design and build batch and real-time data pipelines.
  • Build and optimize data lakes and data warehouses.
  • Ensure data quality, lineage, governance, and observability.
  • Develop Python-based POC solutions for new requests.
  • Troubleshoot tenant issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Support platform upgrades and cloud modernization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with analytics, AI/ML, network, internal products, and business teams to support data consumption.

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of Terraform, FinOps, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Certification.
  • Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Certification.
