Job Description

Seeking a Part-Time Cyber Security Consultant to evaluate the cybersecurity posture of 61+ Online Driver Training Organizations licensed by the State of Ohio.

This role will focus on third-party risk assessments, vendor security posture analysis, and compliance monitoring using cybersecurity frameworks and tools such as Bitsight and OneTrust.

This is a fully remote position, and other employment is permitted. The consultant must be able to dedicate approximately 10 hours per week to analyze security data and communicate findings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate security assessments submitted by online driver training companies

  • Evaluate compliance against industry security frameworks and standards

  • Review updates to security controls and compliance attestations

  • Document concerns and communicate with training organizations regarding security deficiencies

  • Utilize Bitsight security ratings to monitor vendor cybersecurity posture

  • Generate risk reports and dashboards highlighting provider security risks

  • Track vendor security performance trends and remediation progress

  • Manage remediation activities using OneTrust GRC platform

  • Communicate findings and compliance updates to the DPS Driver Training Program Office

  • Support investigations of potential security issues or violations

  • Provide expert testimony at administrative hearings if required

Vulnerability Management 3+ Years
Using Bitsight security ratings to evaluate vendor security posture 3+ Years
Monitoring vendor security ratings and identifying risk trends 3+ Years
Creating automated reports and risk dashboards 3+ Years
Managing remediation plans within OneTrust GRC 3+ Years

Additional Notes

  • Position is fully remote but requires occasional onsite meetings in Columbus, OH.

  • Candidate must be comfortable working independently and part-time (approx. 10 hours/week).
