Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to take a lead role on our data team. This position focuses on claims analyses for a process that is still being defined. The successful candidate will work in a B2B enterprise environment, collaborating with internal teams to support strategic decisions through data visualization and analysis. This role requires an individual who can work independently and translate ambiguous requirements into effective data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct data transformation using Python to prepare claims data for processing by the adjudication engine.
- Translate complex data into clear, engaging information and visual stories to support strategic decisions.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends and patterns to illustrate business impact.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reporting and visualization outputs.
- Work closely with Implementation, Business Intelligence, and Strategic Solutions teams to identify data needs and deliver insights.
- Present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Math, or Statistics.
Experience: Experience in data analysis, particularly with strong programming and data skills. The ability to work independently is critical.
Technical Skills:- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform, including the ability to interact with and query data.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts.
- Knowledge of version control systems like GitHub.
- Understanding of statistical methods and predictive modeling.
Soft Skills:- Critical thinking and the ability to interpret data in context to identify meaningful insights.
- A high degree of curiosity and problem-solving skills to explore data and uncover root causes.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills for effective work with cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and clarity in data handling and visualization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with healthcare claims data is highly preferred.
- Experience with unstructured data.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms beyond basic querying.
Compensation
The pay rate for this position is between $57.00/hour and $64.00/hour.
