Senior Software Engineer - Data Mobility Qualification

What you'll achieve

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate with world-class talent to qualify advanced capabilities in the data mobility area of our next-generation storage product. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment and build deep domain expertise.

You will:
  • Drive the qualification of advanced data mobility capabilities for next-generation storage solutions while developing domain expertise
  • Collaborate closely with developers to design and execute test plans, report defects, automate test cases, and perform various end-to-end testing at the capability level
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies, contribute to team commitments, and take leadership roles when needed
  • Deliver high-quality defect reports and comprehensive test result documentation
  • Stay up to date with AI trends, tools, and best practices to identify opportunities for improving testing efficiency and automation

Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Master's preferred) with 5-8 years of experience in testing, test automation, and technical leadership
  • Proven ability to qualify features in complex, distributed systems.
  • Strong expertise in Python scripting across multiple operating systems (Linux, Windows)
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts and hands-on experience leveraging AI tools or frameworks to enhance developer experience, automate workflows, and drive innovation
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Desirable Requirements
  • Experience qualifying products and solutions in the storage domain
  • Proficiency in one or more major programming languages (C++, Java) and experience developing REST API-based interfaces

Compensation: Dell is committed to Fair and Equitable compensation practices. The Base Salary Range for this role is $150,000-$190,000.
