Summary

Job Title: Project Manager US Crude Oil Trading & Pipelines
Locations: Houston, TX | New York, NY | Toronto, Canada

Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager with deep expertise in US Crude Oil trading, pipeline operations, and midstream environments. This role will lead large-scale business and technology initiatives across trading platforms and operational systems.

The selected candidate will work closely with trading desks, risk management, operations, IT teams, and external vendors to drive successful project delivery.

Core Responsibilities

  • Drive full lifecycle delivery of projects related to physical crude oil trading and pipeline operations
  • Build and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk frameworks
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders including trading, scheduling, risk, finance, operations, and IT teams
  • Lead implementation or enhancement of ETRM/CTRM platforms
  • Monitor milestones, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure timely and budget-compliant execution
  • Identify, escalate, and mitigate project risks and issues
  • Provide regular project updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with governance, regulatory, and audit standards
  • Oversee UAT coordination, production cutover, and go-live support

Required Experience & Skills

  • Strong Project Management background within US Crude Oil environments
  • In-depth understanding of:
    • Physical crude oil trading
    • Pipeline scheduling, nominations, and allocations
    • Midstream and terminal operations
  • Hands-on experience managing ETRM/CTRM implementations such as Endur, RightAngle, Allegro, Aspect, Triple Point, or similar
  • Strong command of SDLC processes including Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • Experience managing distributed and cross-border teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, Prince2, or Agile certification
  • Familiarity with exchanges such as NYMEX or ICE
  • Exposure to regulatory reporting and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with cloud migration or data modernization initiatives
