SAP Cloud Solution Architect

Overview

The CCS Chief Architect's Office is seeking an experienced SAP Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) with deep SAP and Microsoft Cloud expertise and a passion for customer and partner success. In this role, you will serve as a strategic technical leader responsible for accelerating the adoption and consumption of SAP solutions on the Microsoft platform, enabling customer transformation, removing technical blockers, and driving measurable business growth across the SAP ecosystem.

You will bring deep technical expertise across SAP solutions and Microsoft Azure infrastructure, data, and AI technologies to lead complex technical engagements with SAP, customers, Global System Integrators (GSIs), and strategic partners. You will help organizations modernize and maximize value from their SAP investments by architecting solutions that bring together SAP capabilities with the breadth of the Microsoft Cloud and AI platform.

Working across SAP, system integrators, Cloud Solution Architects, Customer Success Account Managers, Engineering, Partner Development, and field teams, you will provide technical leadership from strategy through execution, resolve critical technical challenges, accelerate production adoption and consumption, and enable scalable customer and partner success.

This role is ideal for a technically credible, business-minded architect who can operate effectively across customers, partners, engineering, and field organizations, translating complex SAP and Microsoft technologies into actionable architectures and measurable customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

Customer Technical Leadership

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to joint SAP & Microsoft customers and partners, leading architecture strategy, design reviews, and deployment guidance for SAP workloads on Azure.
• Architect SAP S/4HANA, SAP RISE, BTP, hybrid cloud, data, and AI solutions using Azure Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework principles. Solution

Architecture & Consumption Growth

• Drive technical discovery, architecture validation, migration readiness, go-live execution, post-deployment optimization, and workload expansion.
• Identify and accelerate next-best workload opportunities across Azure infrastructure, security, data, Microsoft Fabric, integration, and AI solutions aligned to customer business outcomes.

Partner Ecosystem & Innovation

• Partner with SAP, GSIs, and Microsoft field teams to develop joint technical strategies, enable co-sell execution, and accelerate Azure adoption and consumption.
• Co-innovate with strategic partners to create reusable IP, reference architectures, deployment guidance, demos, workshops, and solution accelerators.

Technical Leadership & Operational Excellence

• Resolve complex technical blockers by coordinating with engineering, product, customer, and partner teams while influencing product improvements and roadmap priorities.
• Drive operational excellence through risk management, governance, stakeholder communication, and execution against customer success milestones.
• Mentor architects and partners, contribute to technical communities, and maintain expertise across SAP, Azure, Security, Data, and AI technologies.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 4+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience

Additional:

• Extensive SAP & Cloud Architecture Expertise: 10+ years designing, migrating, integrating, and operating enterprise SAP environments (SAP S/4HANA, RISE, Basis, BTP, HANA) on Azure or other major cloud platforms.
• Customer-Facing Technical Leadership: 8+ years leading architecture, design, and technical advisory engagements with senior technical decision-makers, resolving complex challenges and influencing outcomes across business and technical stakeholders.
• Deep Azure for SAP Knowledge: Proven expertise in Azure infrastructure for SAP, including networking, identity, security, monitoring, backup and recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, resiliency, capacity planning, and SAP-certified architectures.
• Partner Ecosystem & Co-Innovation Experience: Strong track record collaborating with SAP, Microsoft, system integrators, ISVs, and consulting partners to deliver joint solutions, co-sell initiatives, customer outcomes, and innovation programs.
• Trusted Advisor & Business Impact: Demonstrated ability to build executive-level relationships, provide strategic technical guidance, uncover customer needs, communicate effectively across audiences, and extend SAP solutions using Microsoft technologies such as Fabric, Azure AI, Copilot, Power Platform, and related services.

Cloud Solution Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
