Senior MS Fabric Data Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Parsipanny, NJ that is seeking a Senior MS Fabric Data Engineer.

Overview:
Our fintech client is modernizing their data platform in Microsoft Fabric. This role will serve as a hands-on architecture lead driving design, modernization, and delivery across a Lakehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead architecture across Microsoft Fabric and Lakehouse environments
* Drive legacy-to-cloud data modernization initiatives
* Design Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
* Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and transformations
* Establish enterprise data standards (naming, lineage, metadata, governance)
* Design scalable Lakehouse/Data Warehouse solutions for analytics and AI/ML
* Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows
* Lead integration strategy (APIs, event-driven, streaming/real-time data)
* Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance (Purview)
* Partner closely with engineering teams and stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:
* Microsoft Fabric + Lakehouse architecture experience
* Proven data modernization leadership experience
* Strong ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and pipeline development
* Hands-on with Medallion Architecture
* Azure data ecosystem (Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, etc.)
* Data governance + Purview experience
* Integration experience (APIs, streaming, event-based systems)
* Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on

Nice to Have:
* Experience with systems like Salesforce, Encompass, HappyFox, Polly
* Azure Document Intelligence or AI/data enablement exposure
* MDM experience
* Financial services or regulated industry background

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
