Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer with a strong background in AWS data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud-native data processing. The ideal candidate will have 5-7+ years of experience and proficiency in AWS data services, distributed data processing, and Python scripting. This role involves building and maintaining data pipelines, integrating data from various sources, and ensuring data quality and automation.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using AWS Glue, PySpark, Lambda, and orchestration frameworks.
  • Utilize AWS Data Services such as Glue (PySpark), Lambda, Step Functions, S3, DynamoDB, Redshift, RDS, CloudWatch, and IAM.
  • Develop Python scripts for ETL transformations, automation, and data quality checks.
  • Work with distributed data processing frameworks like Spark/PySpark.
  • Integrate data from APIs, AWS services, and external systems.
  • Monitor and log data pipelines using tools like CloudWatch and Splunk.
  • Collaborate with teams to utilize COTS or enterprise platforms as data sources.
  • Support off-hours production releases and provide on-call support for critical data pipelines.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications are preferred.
  • Proficiency in AWS Data Services and distributed data processing frameworks.
  • Strong Python scripting skills for automation and data quality checks.
  • Experience with Agile methodology and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch and Splunk.

Pay Range: $80 - $85

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
