IT Systems Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a hybrid IT Systems Administrator to join their team in Oakwood, GA. The IT Systems Administrator is primarily responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and transitioning infrastructure projects that improve enterprise servers, identity, virtualization, cloud, storage, backup, and related technology services. This position translates approved business and technical requirements into deployable solutions, develops implementation and validation plans, coordinates project activities, maintains technical documentation, and supports the successful handoff of completed solutions to operational teams. The IT Systems Administrator works closely with the IT Systems Manager, Cybersecurity, Networking, Applications, Service Operations, vendors, and business stakeholders. Routine operational work is limited to project-related support, complex escalation, and post-implementation stabilization in most cases

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; Relevant infrastructure projects and systems-administration experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
* Relevant Microsoft, cloud, identity, virtualization, project, or systems-administration certifications preferred
* 5+ years of progressive experience implementing infrastructure solutions, supporting migrations or upgrades, and administering enterprise systems preferred
* Experience developing technical designs, implementation plans, test procedures, rollback plans, operational documentation, and support-transition materials preferred
* Experience with enterprise identity services, including Microsoft Entra ID and SSO integrations, preferred
* Experience with server platforms, virtualization, cloud services, storage, backup, monitoring, automation, and related infrastructure technologies preferred
* Experience supporting distributed, manufacturing, highly available, or operational business environments preferred
* Working knowledge of infrastructure design, implementation, migration, integration, testing, validation, documentation, and operational transition practices
* Knowledge of enterprise server platforms, identity and directory services, Microsoft Entra ID, SSO, virtualization, cloud services, storage, backup, monitoring, and automation technologies
* Ability to translate approved requirements into technical designs and project plans
* Ability to assess dependencies, implementation risks, operational impact, rollback needs, and support-readiness requirements
* Ability to distinguish technical recommendations and in-scope implementation decisions from matters requiring management, business-owner, Cybersecurity, Procurement, Legal, or other authorized approval
* Analytical, project coordination, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, organization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
