Summary

QA Analyst ServiceNow Testing Contract: 6 months

Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid) **MUST BE LOCAL TO AUSTIN AREA FOR CONSIDERATION**

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Analyst to support manual testing efforts within enterprise ServiceNow environments. This role will focus on ensuring high-quality software delivery by executing test cases, validating functionality, and supporting Agile development teams in a structured QA environment. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience with ServiceNow testing, and familiarity with enterprise SDLC and QA processes.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of manual testing experience in ServiceNow
  • Strong experience in test case creation and execution within a formal QA framework
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum SDLC processes
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of API and integration testing
  • Proficiency using Jira for defect tracking and Agile work management
  • Experience supporting Texas state agency systems preferred
  • Familiarity with enterprise QA standards and SDLC processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience testing ServiceNow SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management) module
  • Experience testing additional ServiceNow modules (ITSM, CMDB, HRSD)
  • Experience with general government compliance, audits, or release readiness processes
  • UAT coordination experience in government or regulated environments

Duties

  • Perform manual testing of ServiceNow applications to validate functionality and business requirements
  • Create, document, and execute detailed test cases and test scripts
  • Identify, document, and track defects using Jira
  • Perform API and integration testing where applicable
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support sprint testing activities
  • Validate system changes against acceptance criteria and business requirements
  • Support UAT coordination and end-user testing activities
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise QA standards, SDLC processes, and release guidelines
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality delivery
