As a Senior Java Application Developer, you'll play a key role in designing and building scalable, secure, and high-performing applications that power complex distributed systems.
You'll work alongside highly skilled engineering teams, contributing your expertise in microservices, APIs, and enterprise-level application development, while shaping solutions that directly influence performance, reliability, and user experience at scale.

Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and optimize robust software solutions using Java/J2EE and modern frameworks
- Build and enhance APIs and microservices using REST and SOAP architectures
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions across the full SDLC
- Write clean, maintainable, and high-performance code following best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies and meet delivery timelines
- Implement efficient data structures and algorithms to improve system performance
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and release processes
- Participate in code reviews and mentor team members to maintain code quality
- Support continuous improvement through collaboration, feedback, and innovation
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience in software/application development
- Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, XML, OpenAPI, Maven, and ANT
- Proven experience building APIs, web services, and microservices (REST/SOAP)
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and scalable system design
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control
- Strong knowledge of web technologies and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with testing, debugging, and performance optimization
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
Preferred:- Experience with WebSphere deployments
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible
- Exposure to mainframe technologies (COBOL, CICS, z/OS)
- Experience within financial services environments
Compensation and Benefits: The pay rate for this position is between $60.00 and $77.00 per hour. Please note that the final rate may be contingent on experience and other factors.
