Position Summary
Our client is seeking an Application Analyst to support a critical enterprise architecture initiative focused on improving and maintaining the organization''s application inventory. This individual will play a key role in ensuring application, infrastructure, and deployment data is accurate, complete, and properly documented within the company''s enterprise architecture platform.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys data analysis, system administration, process improvement, and working with both technical and business stakeholders to gather and validate information. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can quickly learn the environment, work independently, and help drive data quality across a large enterprise application portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the Planview Enterprise Architecture (PEA) platform and application inventory repository.
- Manage application portfolio data, ensuring information is accurate, complete, and current.
- Partner with IT teams, application owners, and business stakeholders to collect, validate, and update application information.
- Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to identify missing, inaccurate, or outdated application records.
- Perform gap analysis to identify unregistered applications, obsolete systems, incorrect deployment information, and versioning discrepancies.
- Review application, server, and deployment data to ensure alignment with the current technology environment.
- Generate reports and maintain documentation utilizing Microsoft Office tools, including Excel.
- Recommend process improvements and provide ongoing feedback regarding inventory governance and data quality.
- Work independently to prioritize tasks and manage assigned workload.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with enterprise applications, application inventory management, enterprise architecture, CMDB, IT asset management, or related disciplines.
- Experience administering or supporting Planview Enterprise Architecture (PEA) or similar enterprise architecture platforms preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and spreadsheet management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience performing data validation, auditing, or gap analysis activities.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with application portfolio management or enterprise architecture initiatives.
- Understanding of software deployments, application lifecycle management, and version control concepts.
- Experience supporting large enterprise environments with complex application portfolios.
- Reporting and data analysis experience.

Day 2 Day
Task #1 – Planview Enterprise Architecture Administration (40%)
• Serve as System Administrator for Planview Enterprise Architecture (PEA)
• Maintain application inventory data
• Manage platform content and data quality
Task #2 – Stakeholder Engagement & Content Management (35%)
• Work directly with IT teams and business owners
• Facilitate discussions regarding application inventory data
• Coach users through updates and data entry
• Gather and validate information
Task #3 – Gap Analysis & Data Validation (25%)
• Identify missing applications
• Review deployments and versioning information
• Remove obsolete records
• Validate application and server inventory accuracy
• Ensure data integrity across the environment
