Job Title: Director of Product Development, Agentic Commerce Growth & Emerging Capabilities Location: NYC Hybrid 2 days downtown Our client is a premier global payments network operating a dedicated digital innovation lab. We are seeking a Director of Product Development, Agentic Commerce Growth & Emerging Capabilities to spearhead opportunities 12 to 18 months ahead of the current roadmap. You will lead a highly entrepreneurial team to identify, incubate, and validate 0-to-1 products involving AI agents, digital identity, and micropayments. You will guide the product strategy from initial hypothesis and pilot execution through to scalable platform integration, determining which experimental capabilities become core strategic investments.
Requirements - 10+ years of product leadership experience focused on payments, fintech, platform products, or emerging technology.
- Proven track record of 0-to-1 product development, successfully launching new platforms or businesses in ambiguous, rapidly evolving markets.
- Deep understanding of card payment infrastructure (e.g., tokenization, digital wallets) and emerging models like machine-to-machine commerce or decentralized technologies.
- Hands-on experience building or scaling AI-powered products, agent systems, or LLM-based platforms.
- Strong capability to navigate cross-functional environments, influencing engineering, risk, legal, and executive teams.
Responsibilities - Identify and evaluate market shifts, conceptualizing how AI-native commerce, agent-to-agent transactions, and delegated authority will evolve over the coming years.
- Design, launch, and iterate on pilot programs and proof-of-concept initiatives to validate technical feasibility, ecosystem readiness, and customer demand.
- Partner across engineering, design, data science, and risk teams to transition successful pilots into scalable, enterprise-level platform capabilities.
- Cultivate relationships with startups, tech providers, and industry groups to integrate emerging technologies and shape the organization's strategic perspective.
- Build and lead a high-performing product team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and disciplined execution.
