Position: Mechanical Review Board Design Engineer

Location: Grand Prairie, TX

Duration: 12+ months contract

About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Review Board (MRB) Design Engineer to support production programs by identifying and resolving issues, defects, and failures in key mechanical components. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective actions in time-sensitive situations. You will play a critical role in ensuring product quality, compliance, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key member of the Material Review Board (MRB) process.
  • Review non-conforming hardware for performance impacts, identify root causes, and ensure corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate efforts across Mechanical, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Support weekly meetings to provide status updates to leadership.
  • Lead investigative efforts and report findings to interdisciplinary teams.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with ASME Y14.5, including tolerance analysis.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Creo design software.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience reading engineering drawings, documents, parts lists, and specifications.
  • Strong ability to lead investigations and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools.
  • Experience in failure analysis and mechanical defect resolution.
  • Strong technical skills in GD&T and tolerance analysis.
  • Ability to interpret and apply engineering standards and specifications.
