MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate''s degree. Three years of experience providing IT technical support in at least one of the following: console and network operations center enviornment, technology change management, printer operations are required. Additional experience providing IT technical support in at least one of the following: console and network operations center environment, technology change management, printer operations may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
RECRUITMENT NOTES:
Miami-Dade County Communications, Information & Technology Department (CITD) is seeking a full-time Computer Operations Supervisor to join the Operations Unit within the Enterprise Data Center Division. The Operations Unit is responsble for providing 24/7 support and ensuring the continuous availability of the County''s mainframe and mid-range computer systems, including all associated hardware, software, and applications.
This position will work a varying schedule, as the work schedule may include evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Responsibilities inclue supervising and coordinating the following operational functions in support of application processing and enterpise systems:
- Console operations to ensure efficient and accurate application processing
- Job scheduling activities to support timely system execution and workload management
- Print operations, including the management of the production print environment
- Report post-processing to ensure accuracy, distribution readiness, and completion of outputs
- Delivery operations for the secure and timely distribution of computer-generated reports
- Operations during non-business hours, ensuring continuity of support.
- Systems monitoring across the enterprise infrastructure environment
- Perform all administrative duties for the operations team.
- Additional responsibilities include:
- Operating a county vehicle/van for the delivery and distrubution of computer reports, as required.
