Job Title: Senior Cypress QA Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with strong expertise in Cypress to lead end-to-end test automation efforts. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable test frameworks, ensuring product quality, and collaborating closely with developers and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress
• Build and enhance scalable test automation frameworks
• Perform end-to-end (E2E), integration, and regression testing
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and define test strategies
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and ensure timely resolution
• Drive test coverage improvements and quality best practices
• Conduct code reviews for test scripts and mentor junior QA engineers
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Cypress for UI test automation
• Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript
• Experience with API testing (Postman, REST APIs, etc.)
• Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue)
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design, and defect tracking
• Experience integrating tests with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance or security testing
• Familiarity with other automation tools (Selenium, Playwright)
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, etc.)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Understanding of containerization tools like Docker

• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers
• Advocate for quality across the development lifecycle
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Experience

• 5–9 years of QA experience
• 3–5 years of hands-on automation experience with Cypress
