Avanciers is seeking a highly skilled Java Technical Architect to join our team for an exciting long-term contract with one of our esteemed clients, based in Berkeley NJ /Carol Spring FL.

Title: Java Technical Architect Location: Berkeley NJ /Carol Spring FL Contract opportunityJob Description Summary: Summary: Technical Development Lead is currently a hands-on, technical leader and developer experienced in full stack Java, Cloud, Web and mobile technologies with working knowledge of Domain Driven Designs, Event Based Architecture, API and microservices architecture.

Seniority & Education: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology and a minimum of 15+ years of experience designing and deploying enterprise-level technical applications.
Core Technical Stack: Expertise in distributed and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), Containerization (Kubernetes), Microservices, Java/JavaScript frameworks (QuarkSpring), and distributed databases (Postgres, Yugabyte).
Security & Cryptography: Strong command of security protocols (PKI, SSL, RSA) and cryptography concepts for both mobile and server-side, including key management and digital signatures.
Modern AI Tooling: Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools (defined as Vibe coding tools) such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Kiro, WindSurf, or Claude Code, alongside knowledge of AI/ML concepts.
Engineering Best Practices: Proficiency in High Availability engineering, performance tuning, session management, and automated testing for both mobile and web applications.
Leadership & Methodology: Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments with the ability to manage the full SDLC, solve complex problems, and mentor junior staff.
