Senior SAP MM, Integration, and Testing SME

We are seeking a Senior SAP MM, Integration, and Testing SME to lead the MM, cross-functional integration, and testing workstreams for a critical ECC6 support-package upgrade from level 17 to target level 37.
This individual will assess upgrade impacts across Materials Management and FI/MM integrations, direct remediation and testing activities, and identify practical opportunities to automate repetitive regression testing. The successful candidate must combine deep SAP MM expertise with strong integration, testing, and delivery leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess upgrade impacts across SAP MM, purchasing, procurement, inventory management, and invoice verification.
- Evaluate FI/MM integration points, interfaces, customizations, SAP Notes, and configuration changes.
- Develop and lead the unit, integration, regression, cutover, and production-validation testing strategy.
- Prioritize high-risk business processes and improve test coverage, traceability, and defect management.
- Evaluate opportunities to automate repetitive testing and evidence collection.
- Direct systems-integrator resources responsible for MM remediation, integration, and testing.
Required Experience
- Extensive SAP ECC6 MM implementation, configuration, support, and upgrade experience.
- Significant experience with ECC6 support-package upgrades affecting MM and related integrations.
- Strong functional knowledge of purchasing, procurement, inventory management, goods movements, and invoice verification.
- Deep understanding of FI/MM integration, including account determination, tax handling, invoice posting, and reconciliation.
- Experience assessing interfaces between SAP and external procurement, supplier, warehouse, tax, finance, and reporting systems.
- Demonstrated experience leading testing for major SAP upgrades or support-package implementations.
- Strong ability to create risk-based unit, integration, regression, cutover, and production-validation test strategies.
- Experience evaluating and implementing SAP test automation or comparable enterprise testing tools.
- Experience with test-script design, test-data management, evidence collection, traceability, and defect triage.
- Understanding of SAP custom-code analysis, interfaces, batch processing, transports, enhancements, and reporting.
- Proven experience resolving complex cross-functional defects involving MM, FI, tax, interfaces, and custom applications.
- Experience directing systems-integrator, offshore, or blended technical and functional teams.
- Ability to challenge senior SAP consultants and defend recommendations using technical and functional expertise.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with technical teams, business stakeholders, and executives.
- Experience in a complex manufacturing or multinational SAP environment is strongly preferred.
