Role Overview
This Business Analyst will support SWIFT and payments-related initiatives. The role is primarily aligned to the Move Money / Payments function, with some interaction across the enterprise. This is a hands-on position focused on gathering requirements, supporting testing, and working with technology and operations teams to enhance payments workflows. The ideal candidate can operate independently and drive workstreams forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business and technical requirements across payments initiatives.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications for technology teams.
- Support testing efforts, including QA and UAT validation.
- Analyze and map current versus future state payments workflows.
- Partner with operations, product, and technology teams across multiple workstreams.
- Assist with the implementation and enhancement of SWIFT messaging processes.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience within financial services (payments, treasury, or capital markets).
- Experience working with SWIFT messaging and payments workflows.
- Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation (BRDs, user stories).
- Experience supporting testing / UAT and partnering with technology teams.
- Ability to operate independently and work across multiple workstreams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to ISO 20022 / MX messaging.
- Foreign Exchange (FX) or treasury operations experience.
- Experience with payments transformation or system enhancements.
- Prior experience within a large banking environment.
