Consulting Director - AI Security Architect

job summary:

We are seeking an experienced Consulting Director specializing in AI Security to serve as a hands-on technical lead across enterprise artificial intelligence and machine learning initiatives. In this role, you will evaluate, design, and validate secure architectures for AI, Generative AI (GenAI), Large Language Models (LLMs), and agentic solutions. You will partner with Engineering, Cloud Security, and Governance teams to identify technical risks and deploy practical, robust security controls.

responsibilities:

• Lead architecture and technical security design reviews for enterprise AI/ML, GenAI, and LLM implementations.
• Perform technical threat modeling and risk assessments on AI systems and data pipelines using frameworks such as OWASP Top 10 for LLMs, NIST AI RMF, and MITRE ATLAS.
• Develop technology evaluation criteria for RFIs/RFPs and validate candidate AI security solutions through hands-on proofs-of-concept (PoCs).
• Evaluate public cloud security configurations (AWS, Google Cloud) supporting AI workloads and integrate AI security controls into CI/CD and DevSecOps workflows.
• Monitor emerging AI threat vectors-including prompt injection, data poisoning, and model extraction-and provide actionable defensive recommendations.

qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

5+ years of hands-on information security experience, including public cloud security (AWS, Google Cloud).

Direct experience conducting security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and technical risk assessments.

Strong working knowledge of AI/ML and LLM security concepts, threat models, and defensive controls.

Proven ability to write technical evaluation criteria and translate complex risks into clear engineering requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, or dedicated cloud/AI security credentials.

Prior experience in the Financial Services or Insurance industries.

Practical knowledge of DevSecOps pipelines and automated security testing tools.
