Overview
A Mako client in the utilities industry is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee three enterprise technology initiatives, including projects supporting a large-scale SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementation.
This individual will manage project timelines, coordinate technical teams and stakeholders, track deliverables, and ensure successful execution across multiple initiatives.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience managing enterprise IT projects and can quickly take ownership of existing workstreams. Direct SAP experience is not required, although familiarity with SAP, OpenText, Microsoft Intune, or warehouse mobility solutions would be beneficial.
Current Environment & Projects
The organization is undergoing a significant SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementation, with an anticipated go-live date of May 1, 2027.
The selected Project Manager will oversee three initiatives simultaneously:
1. SAP / OpenText Integration

Manage a new project focused on integrating OpenText with SAP.

Support project kickoff, team formation, planning, and coordination with the broader SAP implementation.

Establish timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication processes.
2. Microsoft Intune Implementation (MDM/MAM)

Take ownership of an active Microsoft Intune implementation covering Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM).

Work with an established project team to maintain progress, manage deliverables, and address risks.

Support the targeted January 2027 completion.
3. Warehouse Mobility & Barcoding

Assume project management responsibilities for an ongoing warehouse mobility and barcoding initiative supporting SAP.

Coordinate with established teams and maintain project momentum through the ERP implementation.

Track milestones and dependencies leading up to the May 2027 go-live.
Key Responsibilities

Manage three concurrent enterprise IT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and established timelines.

Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, status reports, and milestone tracking.

Coordinate cross-functional IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.

Identify and resolve project risks, issues, dependencies, and competing priorities.

Facilitate project meetings, communicate progress, and ensure accountability for deliverables.

Support project transitions, establish processes where needed, and maintain continuity across active initiatives.

Collaborate with IT leadership and the broader SAP ERP program team to ensure successful project execution.
Required Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience managing enterprise IT projects, including system implementations, integrations, or infrastructure initiatives.

Proven ability to oversee multiple concurrent projects in complex IT environments.

Experience coordinating technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors.

Strong understanding of project planning, risk management, scheduling, and delivery methodologies.

Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to independently manage projects while building positive relationships and maintaining team accountability.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA implementations.

Familiarity with OpenText integrations or enterprise document management solutions.

Experience with Microsoft Intune, MDM, or MAM implementations.

Exposure to warehouse mobility, inventory management, or barcoding solutions.

Previous experience within utilities or large enterprise organizations.

PMP certification is a plus but not required.

Travel Expectations
This is a remote position with no regular onsite requirement. Occasional travel to Bismarck, North Dakota, may be requested for important project milestones, team meetings, or go-live activities.
There is no mandatory monthly or biweekly travel schedule. Onsite visits will be coordinated in advance, and all approved travel expenses will be covered by the client.
