Power BI Architect

As the Lead BI Architect, you will be the primary strategist and technical engine behind our business intelligence evolution. Your mission is to design scalable data architectures, spearhead complex migrations from legacy platforms (specifically MicroStrategy), and ensure our Power BI ecosystem is secure, automated, and high-performing. You aren't just building reports; you are engineering the entire data journey from source to insight.

• Advanced Modeling: Expert-level Star/Snowflake schemas, composite models, and complex DAX for high-impact KPIs.

• Performance Optimization: mastery of query folding, incremental refreshes, aggregations, and Premium capacity management.

• Data Warehousing: Designing robust dimensional models, data marts, and handling SCD/conformed dimensions.

• ETL/ELT Pipelines: Architecting optimized flows using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, or SSIS.

• CI/CD & Governance: Automating deployments via Power BI REST APIs and PowerShell; managing version control and rollback strategies.

• Identity & Security: Implementing enterprise-grade RLS/OLS and managing authentication through Azure AD/Entra ID and Service Principals.

• Legacy Transformation: Proven track record of migrating platforms (e.g., MicroStrategy, SSRS) to Power BI.

• Parity Excellence: Conducting inventory audits, redesigning semantic layers, and ensuring 1:1 KPI validation during transitions.

• Architectural Design: Build the blueprint for data warehouses and ETL processes that support enterprise-scale reporting.

• Strategic Leadership: Act as the bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, translating business "asks" into scalable technical solutions.

• System Integrity: Oversee metadata, data lineage (Purview/Collibra), and workspace governance to ensure a "single source of truth."

• Continuous Improvement: Monitor capacity utilization and costs while identifying opportunities to optimize large-scale models.
