Role Overview
As an AI & Solutions Analyst, you'll be at the forefront of transforming how our firm operates building intelligent automation workflows, deploying AI-powered solutions, and creating systems that make our investors, portfolio teams, and operations more effective. This role sits at the intersection of technical implementation, product thinking, stakeholder collaboration, data management, and process execution.
You'll also have end-to-end ownership of how we procure data and AI, negotiate usage and contracts, integrate these systems into our broader tech stack, and train investors and operators to leverage these tools. You ll need to work directly with internal teams to understand their workflows and priorities, prototype or procure solutions rapidly, and deploy production-grade automation.
This is a new role within our growing Portfolio & Solutions team and will have high visibility into our deal lifecycle and exposure to leading AI investors and experienced operators. We are looking for a proactive, AI-native operator to roll up their sleeves to support our evolving firm. The ideal candidate thrives in both modes equally comfortable whiteboarding automation workflows and meticulously tracking vendor contracts, investor onboarding, and deal flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner directly with investors, portfolio, operations, and platform to gather business requirements and translate them into process and technology
- Work closely with leadership across investment, operations, and IT to align data requirements with broader product and analytics initiatives
- Build quick prototypes and proofs-of-concept using no-code/low-code platforms (Airtable, Claude Code, n8n)
- Develop automation workflows that connect systems across our tech stack (CRM, data platforms, document management, communication tools)
- Own the full lifecycle of AI and data vendor relationships from market scanning and evaluation to contract negotiation, procurement, and ongoing performance management
- Design and deliver a firm-wide data and AI training building structured curricula, tracking adoption metrics, and ensuring every investor and operator can extract maximum value from our tools
- Maintain rigorous documentation and operational standards across our AI and data stack ensuring tools are well-governed, contracts are tracked, and workflows are repeatable at scale
- Create standardization in our deal flow through systems and tooling that spans CRM, third-party data, investment recommendations, and portfolio support
- Implement systems for gathering data from our partners and portfolio companies to ensure that we monitor investment and portfolio performance
- Build dashboards and reports to support firm operations and infrastructure with data analysis and insights for leadership and investors
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in operations, implementation, analytics, or product roles at a tech company, high-growth startup, or VC/PE firm
- Exceptional stakeholder management able to work with demanding, high-performing investors and operators
- Meticulous organizational skills and attention to detail able to manage multiple relationships, deadlines, and documentation simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Track record of building automation solutions that get adopted and create measurable value
- Proficiency with no-code/low-code tools (Airtable, n8n, etc) and AI platforms (Claude or similar)
- Technical curiosity and a drive to understand how systems work and explore new tools
- Bias for action: prototype fast, ship MVPs, and iterate based on real feedback
- Familiarity with APIs and webhooks for system integration
- Basic scripting ability (Python, SQL, or similar) for automation tasks
- Experience with modern BI tools, AI/ML platforms and LLM APIs, or CRM systems (Databricks, Salesforce, Affinity)
- Understanding of investment workflows (sourcing, due diligence, portfolio monitoring) and passion for startups
Location
Based in New York City or Larchmont, NY. 3 days in office minimum.
