Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing leader in the distribution and manufacturing sector, is seeking a skilled IT Manager to oversee their entire IT operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) , you will be a trusted advisor to leadership, responsible for mentoring the IT Helpdesk team and ensuring the company's technology infrastructure is secure, reliable, and aligned with strategic business goals.
This is a critical role for a results-oriented professional who excels at both high-level strategy and day-to-day technical execution. You will champion system reliability, user support, and technology innovation in a fast-paced environment.

responsibilities:
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
- Lead & Mentor: Lead, manage, and develop the IT Helpdesk staff, promoting a culture of high performance and professional growth.
- Oversee Core Infrastructure: Administer the Windows Active Directory domain, group policies, and network services (DHCP, DNS). Manage the configuration, maintenance, and security of all servers, networks (LAN/WAN), firewalls, desktops, and phones.
- Drive IT Security & Compliance: Take charge of the company's security posture by administering firewalls, malware protection, vulnerability testing, and patch deployment. Ensure data backup systems are robust and maintain software licensing compliance.
- Partner with Leadership: Analyze business requirements across all departments to recommend and implement effective technology solutions. Lead technical projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensure Operational Excellence: Serve as the primary contact for IT inquiries , provide hands-on user support , and train employees on systems and best practices. Maintain meticulous documentation for all processes, assets, and incidents.
- Support Business Systems: Provide essential support for the company's NetSuite ERP system and improve current EDI integrations.
qualifications:
Required (Must-Haves):
A minimum of
4 years of IT experience, including hands-on systems administration, networking, and IT operations.
Proven leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to lead an IT team and manage multiple technical functions effectively.
Advanced proficiency with Windows Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of IT security protocols, data protection, disaster recovery, and networking principles (LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS).
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users and business leaders.
An
Associate's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
Preferred (Nice-to-Haves):
Hands-on experience with
NetSuite ERP is strongly preferred.
A
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
Professional certifications such as
CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified IT Professional.
