Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Systems Administrator (6-Month Contract) in Downey, CA (Onsite).

Overview:
We are seeking a Systems Administrator for a 6-month onsite contract supporting a critical enterprise order management and fulfillment platform. This role is ideal for a technology professional with strong troubleshooting skills, a process-driven mindset, and experience supporting business-critical systems in a fast-paced operational environment.

The Systems Administrator will provide first- and second-level support, monitor platform performance, resolve technical issues, perform system configurations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system stability, availability, and performance. Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a production-focused environment.

Responsibilities:
* Support a distributed order management platform that enables enterprise-wide fulfillment operations
* Provide first- and second-level technical support by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving system-related issues
* Monitor system health, performance, and availability, proactively identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
* Perform system configurations, updates, and administration activities
* Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to investigate and resolve application and system issues
* Escalate complex technical issues, risks, and operational concerns following established processes
* Create, maintain, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical documentation, and support materials
* Ensure timely delivery of sustainable solutions while meeting project and operational deadlines
* Communicate system status, support activities, and issue resolutions clearly to stakeholders
* Follow established policies, procedures, and best practices while contributing to process improvement initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:
* Associate or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and 2-4 years of relevant IT experience
* 2-4 years of experience in systems administration, technical support, infrastructure support, or a related IT role
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues
* Experience supporting enterprise systems and applications in a production environment
* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
* Strong documentation skills with experience creating, updating, and following technical procedures and SOPs
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline

Experience working with:
* Linux
* OpenShift
* Oracle
* Splunk
* Java-based applications

* Experience monitoring system performance, availability, and operational health
* Exposure to enterprise application support and system administration best practices

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
