Windows 2022 & Active Directory Systems Admin

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Windows 2022 & Active Directory Systems Admin. This role will be working 4 days onsite in Omaha, NE.

Responsibilities:
* Monitor and maintain Windows server health (CPU, memory, disk, uptime) and address performance issues
* Install and configure Windows Server (2022/2025), including AD DS, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
* Enforce system hardening standards (CIS or similar frameworks)
* Troubleshoot complex issues across systems, networks, and applications; perform root-cause analysis
* Support Active Directory structure (OU design, delegation, user/computer administration, GPOs)
* Assist with cross-domain or cross-forest AD initiatives
* Implement monitoring and report on system performance and utilization
* Coordinate with internal teams and vendors on system changes and support needs
* Manage server patching and maintenance (SCCM or similar tools)
* Maintain accurate system documentation and procedures
* Identify and implement automation and process improvements

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-10+ years of experience in Windows Server and Active Directory environments
* Strong hands-on experience building and configuring Windows Server 2022 (2025 a plus)
* Experience with DNS, DHCP, and basic Windows networking concepts
* Experience with server patching and maintenance tools (SCCM or equivalent)
* Experience with VMware or similar virtualization platforms
* Solid understanding of Active Directory administration (OUs, delegation, GPOs, user/computer management)
* Knowledge of security hardening practices (CIS benchmarks or similar)
* Exposure to multi-domain or cross-forest Active Directory environments
* Familiarity with troubleshooting across infrastructure layers (OS, network, application)
* Basic understanding of cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS)
* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business teams
* Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver projects end-to-end

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
