As a Senior ServiceNow Developer supporting a key Randstad client in the Washington, D.C. area, you will serve as a technical linchpin in evolving a complex enterprise ecosystem. This role demands a high-level practitioner capable of not only maintaining the platform but driving the end-to-end implementation of new products and advanced configurations within the CMDB, HAM, SAM, ITSM, and ITOM suites. You will be responsible for translating high-level business requirements into scalable technical solutions, ensuring that discovery, asset lifecycle management, and service mapping are seamlessly integrated to provide a robust, single source of truth for the organization's IT landscape.

responsibilities:
Module Implementation: Lead the end-to-end installation and configuration of new ServiceNow products, with a heavy focus on ITOM (Discovery & Service Mapping) and ITAM (HAM/SAM).
CMDB Governance: Architect and maintain a healthy Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring data integrity across all configuration items and their relationships.
Custom Development: Design, develop, and unit-test custom applications, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, and UI Actions using JavaScript.
Workflow Automation: Build and optimize complex workflows and integration points using Flow Designer and IntegrationHub to streamline ITSM processes.
Strategic Optimization: Perform platform upgrades, patch cycles, and performance tuning to ensure the environment remains secure and efficient.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams in the D.C. region to gather requirements and provide technical mentorship to junior developers.
qualifications:
Platform Expertise: Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and systems integration.
Technical Proficiency: Proven track record of configuring and deploying ITOM, SAM, and HAM modules in large-scale enterprise environments.
Scripting Mastery: Strong command of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Glide API; experience with REST/SOAP integrations is essential.
Certifications: Highly prefer Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD); CIS certifications in Discovery or SAM are a significant plus.
Analytical Mindset: Deep understanding of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and how it informs the relationship between asset management and service delivery.
Local Readiness: Ability to work with clients in the Washington, D.C. area and meet any necessary background or clearance requirements typical of the region's federal and commercial sectors.
