Data Center Cabling Technician

Job Description

We are seeking hardworking and reliable Data Center Cabling Technicians to support interior and exterior build-outs of active data center environments. This role involves installing, terminating, and maintaining structured cabling systems and related infrastructure. Candidates should be comfortable working with network equipment and performing physical tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Install and lay out wireway, bus duct, cable tray, switches, receptacles, and related devices
• Pull cable and assist with or oversee conduit installations and wire pulls
• Build and outfit telecom/data closets, including:
  • Mounting and installing backboards
  • Installing racks, patch panels, cross-connects, and fiber hardware
• Terminate Cat5/Cat6 cabling and complete all IDC connections (110/66 blocks, patch panels)
• Perform rack and stack of network equipment
• Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cabling as required
• Work safely and efficiently inside and outside data center facilities
• Operate hand and power tools requiring two-handed use (e.g., cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jackhammers)

Additional Qualifications

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Work Environment

• Data center construction and operational environments
• Combination of indoor and outdoor work
• Physically demanding role requiring standing, lifting, and tool operation

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Social Circle, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
