The ideal candidate has strong experience building enterprise APIs and integrations with a cloud-first mindset and a passion for driving modern engineering practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and build scalable, cloud-native integration services using Node.js and TypeScript

  • Implement solutions leveraging Azure services, including Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps / Kubernetes, Azure API Management, and Azure Service Bus / Event Grid
  • Ensure code quality through testing, standards, and best practices, and validate vendor-delivered code
  • Partner with enterprise architects to define integration patterns, API standards, and event-driven architectures
  • Drive adoption of modern integration patterns (eventing, microservices, API-first)
  • Collaborate with Architects, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and external delivery partners to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Act as a technical leader, mentoring developers on modern integration development, cloud-native practices, and API design principles
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., Copilot) to improve development velocity, code quality, and testing

Requirements:
  • 7 years of software engineering experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript and Backend frameworks (e.g., Fastify, Express, NestJS)
  • Proven experience building enterprise APIs and system-to-system integrations
  • Experience with event-driven architectures like messaging, queues, and pub/sub
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including serverless (Azure Functions), containers (Container Apps, AKS, Docker), API Management, and messaging (Service Bus, Event Grid)
  • Experience developing cloud-native distributed systems and working with enterprise integration platforms (MuleSoft, TIBCO, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of API design (REST, OpenAPI), data transformation patterns, and resiliency strategies
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desired skills:
  • Experience with additional languages: C# / .NET, Java, Rust or Go
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and familiarity with DevOps / DevSecOps practices
  • Experience with observability tools (logging, tracing, monitoring)
  • Understanding of security best practices including API security, authentication/authorization, and secrets management
  • Experience with large-scale migration or modernization programs
  • Exposure to microservices architecture and domain-driven design (DDD)
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-204, AZ-305)
