Job Overview:

We are seeking a Snowflake Data Engineer with a background in healthcare data to design and implement data solutions.

Requirement/Must Have:

Strong experience in Snowflake (Medallion Architecture).
Expertise in SQL Server (Schema, SPs, Jobs, Performance tuning).
Knowledge of HL7 data structures and healthcare workflows.
Experience in ETL/ELT tools (ADF, Airflow, etc.).
Data modeling (Dimensional / Star Schema).
Handling semi-structured data (JSON/VARIANT).

Responsibilities:

Design and implement Snowflake-based data platform using Medallion Architecture.
Gather requirements and analyze existing HL7 to SQL Server ETL workflows.
Design Bronze, Silver, Gold layers in Snowflake.
Build data ingestion pipelines for HL7 messages (ADT, ORM, ORU).
Parse and map HL7 data into structured relational models.
Perform data transformation, cleansing, and normalization.
Reverse engineer SQL Server databases (tables, SPs, jobs, dependencies).
Migrate ETL and batch jobs to Snowflake (Tasks/Streams/ADF/Airflow).
Develop data models (fact and dimension tables) for analytics.
Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance.
Implement scheduling, monitoring, and performance optimization.

Nice to Have:

DICOM data exposure.
Real-time streaming (Kafka/Event Hub).
Healthcare domain experience.
Data governance and security (HIPAA awareness).
