Role Overview
This position supports key projects focused on footwear materials design. The role involves partnering with color and graphic designers to build seasonal narratives and toolboxes for athletes. The successful candidate will work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, contributing to the development of innovative footwear products.
Key Responsibilities
- Focus on seasonal packs in partnership with design teams.
- Build seasonal narratives and material toolboxes.
- Collaborate with product design, color, graphics, footwear developers, and material development teams.
- Engage with product line managers (PLMs) and other cross-functional partners.
- Contribute to a direct team of approximately 10-12 individuals.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in a materials design role is required. Footwear experience is heavily preferred; experience in apparel or accessories may be considered.
Technical Skills: Expertise in Adobe Illustrator and a basic understanding of material types such as knits, wovens, synthetics, and injections are required. The candidate must be an expert in trend research and application.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with 3D visualization tools like Adobe Substance or Vizcom.
- A passion for sport, with a specific interest in soccer.
- Expertise in material make and manufacturing processes, beyond digital skills.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this position is $39.00/hr to $50.00/hr.
