Role Overview
We are looking for a Product Testing Lead to join a Global Apparel Product Testing Team. This role ensures apparel products fit and perform to the highest standards, enabling data-informed decision-making. The position blends expertise in consumer product testing with strategic data implementation to drive impactful and predictive insights. A successful candidate will have deep product testing experience, strong analytical capabilities, a strategic mindset, and proven influencing skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or provide guidance on multiple stages of the product testing process, including test planning, recruiting testers, executing tests, and analyzing data.
- Capture athlete insights, write reports, and deliver presentations across multiple apparel dimensions and company stakeholders.
- Work with product creation partners to test apparel and accessories, ensuring they meet consumer expectations.
- Collaborate with product creation and development colleagues to validate the performance benefits of products.
- Inform key internal stakeholders regarding performance and durability attributes to ensure products remain best-in-class.
- Lead fellow testing teammates, work on internal projects, and assist in developing and teaching testing techniques and best practices.
- Provide technical input and support to Technical Design, Development, Materials, Lab, and Product Management communities.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in a science or apparel-related field. Alternatives may be considered: PhD or Law plus 3 years of experience; Master's plus 4 years; Associate's Degree plus 6 years; or High School diploma plus 7 years of relevant experience.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of directly relevant work experience is required. This includes subject matter expertise in consumer product testing methodologies (e.g., clothing, equipment, accessories).
Technical Skills: Competence in qualitative and quantitative test design, data collection, and analysis is necessary. Experience with data management, structuring, and integration across enterprise systems is also required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of psychometrics, sensory-perception, behavioral sciences, or motor learning and control.
- Understanding of predictive modeling, AI, or machine learning applications for product testing insights.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Airtable, Qualtrics, Tableau, Python, and PLM integration.
- A passion for and knowledge of team and individual sports.
- Previous experience with the client is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this position is $35.00/hour to $48.00/hour. This employer is an equal opportunity employer.
